Top fundraising prize
This year’s top fundraiser and winner of the ultimate weekend getaway for two will enjoy a weekend getaway courtesy of VIA Rail and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Last year’s top fundraiser was Howard McIntyre from Suncor Energy, who raised over $44,700 for United Way Toronto’s Community Fund.
Runner-up prize
This year’s runner-up fundraiser will enjoy two VIA Rail passes good for travel anywhere along the Windsor-Quebec City corridor. Last year’s runner-up fundraiser was Gary McNeil from Metrolinx, who raised over $19,000 for United Way Toronto’s Community Fund.
Draw for top fundraisers
Climbers who raise $2,500 or more by the November 18, 2011 deadline will be entered to win dinner for two at 360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower.
Top student fundraisers
The top student fundraiser will win a Sony iPod Docking Station valued at $250. To be eligible for the top student fundraising prize, you must have been registered for the Saturday Student Climb. Last year#8217;s top student fundraiser was Jose Gonzalez, age 18, who raised $820.
Plus, we’ll be holding a special draw for students under the age of 18! Raise $100 or more and you will be entered to win a 2011 Raleigh Detour 3.5 bike valued at $350, generously provided by Cycle Butik. Winners will be notified after the fundraising deadline of November 18, 2011.

Helped build healthy people and strong communities. $2,500 gives eight newcomers job search skills, training and a placement in their field of expertise, so they can begin new professional lives in Canada. Prize pick-up details
United Way Toronto cannot mail out or courier prizes. We reserve the right to substitute prizes for equal or greater value. Prizes will only be issued in person from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012 to Friday, February 10, 2012 at United Way Toronto’s head office, located at 26 Wellington Street East, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON, M5E 1W9. Prizes are non-cumulative and are awarded based on the categories listed. One prize per eligible participant will be allowed. Prizes are based on individual fundraising totals—not team fundraising totals. Only pledge money submitted by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, November 18, 2011 will be eligible for incentive prizes.
Team captains or a designate can pick up all the prizes for your team. Please email us at unitedwayevents@uwgt.org to arrange this. Please allow 24 hours for us to get your package ready.
